Inspired by Lauralyn Curtis of Hypnobirthing Utah I have written my own Affirmations for Midwifery Students. Her affirmations for birth workers are found on her website at http://www.hypnobirthingutah.com/intuitive-birth-worker-affirmations/. My current affirmations:
I have all the energy I need to complete my tasks. I release all negative energy as I prepare to face the challenges of my day. I quiet my mind as I open my books and complete my assignments. I am a supported by my instructors, academic coach, preceptor, house mother, fellow students and family. I am capable of wise insight and intelligent responses to my academic assignments. My mind is open and receptive to learning new information. The births I am meant to attend to complete my clinical requirements will flow toward me in a river of abundance. I attract wonderful preceptors into my life, who enrich my learning and open my mind. I recommend many of the other affirmations on Lauralyn's page. I recommend writing some of your own.

Why MusingsThe page I have called Musings is a blog of sorts. I invite you to read my Home page to learn the reasons I had for creating this ePortfolio and how it all started. In it you will find that this ePortfolio began as a learning tool for future students at the Midwives College of Utah. The ePortfolio will become a requirement beginning in the Fall 2016 semester. I also recommend it for former students still finishing their studies and looking for a way to develop their future practice's website, share with potential clients or potential preceptors, and as a very in depth resume of sorts. I invite you to read my musings during the creation of this ePortfolio in the hope that it may strengthen your devotion to your studies, build your determination to answer your call, and be encouraged by the sharing of my musings as I complete this task.
